WFCU’s Go Green Checking Account: Environmental stewardship and high dividend potential without the fees.
The Go Green Checking account is a high dividend earning account when members meet 4 monthly requests. Members will enjoy the new green theme debit card with their Go Green Checking account as well as the option of having checks made from recycled stock.
The monthly requests are:
- Active enrollment in e-Statements
- Login to Online Banking at least once during the cycle*
- Make one electronic deposit or withdrawal each cycle*
- Make at least 12 cleared debit card transactions each cycle*
*A cycle is defined as the last day of a month through the second to last day of the following month. For example: March 31 through April 29 is a cycle; April 30 through May 30 is a cycle; etc.
All members will earn the high dividend rate on balances up to $25,000 the very first cycle they sign up regardless of whether or not they meet the requirements. After the first cycle, members who do not meet the requirements will earn a normal dividend rate on their balances for that cycle. You always have a chance to start over and meet the requirements the very next cycle, and you never pay a maintenance fee no matter what happens.
WFCU’s Premier Checking account is a “dividend earning” account.
There is no monthly fee or transaction fee if the minimum balance is maintained, and WFCU will pick up the tab on standard check order purchases. Basically, if you maintain the minimum balance requirement you have a “FREE” dividend-earning checking account.
WFCU’s free Classic Checking account provides complete checking services with no fees.
The only cost you incur is the purchase of the checks (but we have great prices on those too).
Wauna Federal Credit Union’s “Check Card” is the Checkbook of the the new millennium.
It offers convenience and safety. The Check Card provides you with access to the funds in your Draft/Checking account 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is fast, easy to use, and ideal for everyday purchases. It offers the convenience of plastic versus carrying a bulky checkbook or a lot of cash.
International Travel Notice
Debit Card transactions processed in Brazil, Mexico, Romania, and South Africa have been blocked. This block is in place to protect our members from card fraud. If you plan to travel to Brazil, Mexico, Romania, or South Africa please contact your local branch and ask about concierge service to use your Debit Card. It is always good to plan alternative forms of currency such as your Wauna Platinum VISA credit card when traveling.

Automated Teller Machines (ATMs)
The Check Card provides you with access to the funds in your Draft/Checking account in any ATM location worldwide that displays either a CO-OP (free ATM network in the US and Cananda of over 25,000 cash machines), Star, PLUS, or Visa Network logo. It’s easy to use; just insert your card, enter your PIN, select the Account Type (Checking or Savings), enter the dollar amount wanted, verify the dollar amount, and the ATM will disburse the cash you requested up to $300.00 per day, 7 days a week.
Point of Sale (POS) Machines
The Check Card provides you access to your Draft/Checking Account through any Visa Point of Sale machine. Point of Sale machines look similar to an ATM machine, but are located at Grocery Stores and Gas Stations, etc. and display the Visa logo. To make your purchase, simply swipe your “Check Card”, enter your PIN, elect whether you wish to receive cash back or not, verify the dollar amount, and you’re done. Your purchase is made and your cash back will be given to you (if elected).
VISA Merchants
The Check Card is accepted at any merchant displaying the VISA logo. The sales clerk will process your purchase transaction and provide you with a sales draft to sign. Sign the draft and the transaction is completed. The funds will be automatically deducted from your Draft/Checking account.
American Express Travelers Cheque Machines
You also have the capability to purchase American Express Travelers Cheques through an American Express Travelers Cheque Machine with your Check Card. (American Express will charge a 1% of purchase fee for these transactions.)
As you probably already noticed, WFCU’s Check Card provides you with additional accessibility to your WFCU Draft/Checking Account with much more convenience.

Checking overdrafts occasionally happen, which is why we developed the Courtesy Pay service. Courtesy Pay is an overdraft protection plan that we extend to our members created to provide you with peace of mind when life gets hectic and you accidentally “bounce” a check. As one of the benefits of being a Wauna Federal member, you get the satisfaction of knowing that your checking account will automatically be covered if an insufficient funds situation should occur. And, you can be confident that we will adjust your checking account funds automatically to cover any outstanding checks.
There is no monthly fee or loan interest to pay. It’s simple and convenient and best of all, you only pay for the service when and if you need it.
Wauna Federal members with checking accounts in good standing are automatically covered by Courtesy Paye. Isn’t it nice to know that it will be there, whether or not you ever need it? So, relax, with Courtesy Pay, you have one less thing to worry about.
